Terms of Service
Last updated 6 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Taco Digest. By creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Taco Digest is a trade name of ShiBoba, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 88137236, VAT number NL004546704B60.

2. What Taco Digest does
Taco Digest builds email digests from the sources you choose (feeds, subreddits, YouTube channels, Hacker News, weather, exchange rates and the newsletters you send to your Taco Digest address) and sends them on your schedule. You can also read those newsletters in your inbox in the app. We keep improving Taco Digest, so features change. If we take away something important that you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.
3. Your account
- You must be 16 or older.
- Use an email address that's yours, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
4. Trial, subscription and payment
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed, and the trial ends by itself.
- After the trial, Taco Digest needs a subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price on our pricing page when you subscribe. Any VAT or sales tax is shown at checkout.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in Account settings, with "Cancel subscription". You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- If the price goes up, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
- Paddle is the merchant of record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle sells the subscription to you, takes the payment, handles VAT and sends the invoices. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase.
- Refunds: you get your money back if you ask within 14 days of a payment. See our Refund Policy.
5. Your content
- The newsletters you forward, the sources you add and the ideas and comments you post stay yours, or their authors'. You let us store, process and show them only to run Taco Digest for you. On the feedback board, that includes showing them publicly.
- Forward only newsletters you're subscribed to, for your own reading. Taco Digest is for personal reading, not for republishing other people's work.
- Posts on the feedback board are public, so be respectful. We review suggestions before they appear, and we may edit or remove anything that's off-topic, unlawful or abusive. To report something on the board that breaks the law or these terms, email support@tacodigest.com. We're free to use the ideas you suggest, without payment.
6. Content from other services
Your digests show content from other services: websites, Reddit, YouTube, newsletter senders and others. We don't control that content and aren't responsible for it. Those services can change or stop what they offer, for example by closing an API, and a source can stop working because of it. Taco Digest uses YouTube API Services: by adding YouTube channels, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
7. Fair use
Don't use Taco Digest to break the law, send spam, harm others, overload or attack our systems, get around its limits or security, scrape it or resell it. We may suspend or close an account that does, and we'll tell you why unless the law or someone's safety stands in the way.
8. Availability
We work to keep Taco Digest running and your digests on time, but we can't promise it will never be down or that every source will always load. We may pause the service for maintenance, at quiet times where we can.
9. Liability
We're responsible for damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence. Otherwise, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the damage, and we aren't liable for indirect damage such as lost profit. None of this limits rights that consumer law doesn't allow a contract to limit.
10. Ending
- You can stop using Taco Digest at any time. Cancel your subscription in Account settings, and email us if you also want your account and data deleted.
- When a trial or subscription ends, your digests stop. The newsletters in your inbox are kept for 30 days, then deleted (see the Privacy Policy).
- We may close accounts that break these terms (section 7).
- If we ever shut Taco Digest down, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead and refund the unused part of any yearly subscription.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then, and we'll refund the unused part of a yearly subscription.
12. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. If something goes wrong, tell us first: most problems are solved by email. Disputes go to the court in Amsterdam. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory law and can also go to your local court.
